If you're booking a vacation and you know you're going to need a hotel, you can often save a lot of money by opting to book a complete air, car and hotel package. Many vacation providers can offer huge discounts if you purchase everything you need in one package deal. But remember, Package holidays are not always cheaper. Check prices with a range of airlines and compare prices on hotels in the area that you want to stay.

Never change money at hotel reception desks. Staff may tell you their exchange is competitive, but, hotel rates are almost always terrible.
