Our mind has two parts, a conscious and subconscious. Most of us are familiar with the conscious mind as it runs our outer life. What Is The Subconscious Mind? The simplest way to understand the subconscious is as sleeping minds that have no conscious of. Your subconscious is constantly recording new information you obtain from the environment around you and stores it away. This means that everything you have ever seen, heard or experienced has been filed away somewhere in the depths of your subconscious mind.
The information that has been stored in your subconscious forms your belief systems, which influence how you act as a person and the things you believe in. Take the Story of runner Roger Bannister. Roger was the first runner to break the 4 minute mile. What thing was responsible for this amazing transformation? It’s the power in knowing and believing that it is possible. You've heard scientists say that we only use 10% of our mind, mostly conscious. The subconscious is much bigger and more powerful. This section of the brain controls about 90% of the rest of our brain. The power of your subconscious mind cannot be denied. Even though we do not fully understand how the subconscious works exactly, the power of it is undisputed.
The subconscious mind is an amazing resource that is able to store memories that have been long forgotten. It has a strong effect on the conscious mind, although it is not able to think or reason, taking direction from the conscious mind instead.
“Reason man may become the master of his own destiny is because he has the power to influence his subconscious mind.” – Napoleon Hill
