Do You Have The Right Business Card?

One expert told me that in order for my business to soar, I need to have the right business card. What does that mean? Is he telling me that my business card printing is not right for me? Is that the reason why I do not attract as many target clients as I want to?
Well, to tell it bluntly, I think that would be a ‘yes’. I have been having these same business cards for so long that I do not know how to use them wisely, I think. I would also think that with so many marketing seminars that I have been to; I should have at least learned that a poorly marketed image starts with my business card printing.
Okay. So what this expert is actually saying is that any business will be able to succeed when it has a great marketing image. But where do you actually get that? It starts from your business cards.
Have you ever experienced a time when after attending a business seminar and you pull out a business card to get to know one of the attendees, you were disappointed to have in your hands a poor and unprofessional business card? And what if the same thing happens to those people you handed out your business cards to and they have the same reaction?
Sadly, many business owners present a poor and unprofessional image precisely because of the business cards they give out. How can you convince your prospect of your credibility if you cannot even provide yourself with quality cards to represent your company? In addition, very few business card printing has a message that can effectively describe ones business as well as what that business can do for the clients. And many even lack a strong logo or catch phrase that would help the prospects see the brand image as something that is unique and distinct from the rest of the pack.
The reason behind these errors comes from one factor – you do not know your clients well enough that you do not give them the right business cards. The truth is, most business owners ignore this very obvious mistake because they see their business cards according to what they want and how they want to look at it. They do not look at the business and the marketing strategy from the customer’s viewpoint. What they think is the best business card may not be the same thing with the clients and prospects.
So here is the point: it is not you that you are trying to attract with your business card printing. It is your clients and prospects. How can you grab their attention when they see nothing that would make them interested?
Consider your target clients first, and give them the right business cards that they want. And then see how your business will soar no matter what kind of marketing strategy you employ to present your business.
