Holiday season Tips

Joy and peace words are often associated with the holidays. However, the season often becomes a source of frustration. People have different experiences during the Holiday Season. For many it is a time of joy, peace, good will and optimistic hope for the New Year. For others it is a time of self-evaluation, to reflect on the past, or to review accomplishments and failures.
There are many different causes and contributors of these feelings and severe cases may even mimic clinical depression. Here are tips to insure that your holiday season is merry and bright.
Plan your Holiday. You can do 90% of holiday preparations well in advance at least two weeks before you need them. Once you know what you want to experience or leave the Holidays feeling, then plan your activities so as to create those experiences and/or feelings.
Save on your purchases. Don’t overspend for the holidays. You do not have to spend a lot of money to have a great holiday. Many times the worst part about the Holidays is the dread of receiving the credit card bills. Set a spending limit and stick to it. Resist the illusion or temptation of buying your way into the hearts of your loved ones. The warmth of spending time with your family is what makes the holidays special. Make sure you can start saving money right away, as that's the whole point.
Assign a task to everyone. During the holidays, there are a lot more responsibilities added to your daily schedule and this will cut down on your tasks. This could be anything from opening greeting cards and hanging them on a designated spot to gathering the dirty clothes from everyone's room.
Stay Rested. Sometimes you are so busy with all the holiday hustle and bustle that you neglect your health. Take a rest can keep your body on fit.
