Now that you finally have the thick, long and curly lashes you always wanted, it’s a must that you know how to care for it. The extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They provide length and thickness to your own lashes and are available in varying lengths and thickness. They are applied to your individual eyelashes, one lash at a time. Eyelash extensions are great for everyday wear or special occasions.
Eyelash Extension Is Beneficial
One of the greatest benefits of wearing eyelash extensions is how it makes mascara obsolete in your makeup regimen. Applying mascara is a hassle, isn’t it? And it is messy idea too. Mascara is designed to lengthen and thicken lashes, as well as curl them. An eyelash extension does all of these things, but without running when wet, smudging, or smearing.
Additionally, you do not have to worry about the occasional slip resulting in an eye poke that while it may not cause permanent damage, causes serious setbacks in your daily routine. Mascara is also a major cause of infection and eye irritation. This is because when it dries many people attempt to moisten it and succeed mostly in introducing bacteria into the mascara supply.
Maintaining Your Best Eyelash Look
In order to maintain the best look, however, it is a good idea to have touch up eyelash extension applications every three weeks or so. Because the extensions are directly attached to the natural lashes, they will fall out as the normal lash cycle progresses. Avoid rubbing the eyes. Rubbing your eyes harmful to the health of your eyes, but it can also rip your extensions out or remove your natural lashes and of course the eyelash extension as well. Brush the lashes. Using an eyelash brush will help improve the look and length of the natural lashes as well as the lash extensions, and it will keep lashes and extensions from clumping or sticking together.
Additionally, oil-based beauty products should not be used around the eyes while you are wearing extensions. This includes makeup, makeup remover, skin creams, and cleansers. These will interfere with the bonding and cause the eyelash extensions to fall out. Do not swim or spa for 48 hours after lash application to allow adequate time for bonding. Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions. Another important thing to remember, do not wash eyes or shower and avoid crying, sweat, and steam for 24 hours after lash application.
