Overwhelming fear that the anxiety will push you over the edge.
Shaking visibly or inside.

That’s maybe the symptoms of panic attack.

When panic attacks occur, you might think you're losing control, having a heart attack or even dying. And that will cause total discomfort, annoying feeling throughout the day. Not only it will affect you but also the people around you.

So, what panic attack really is?
In many cases, panic attacks strike out of the blue, without any warning. Often, there is no clear reason for the attack. They may even occur when you’re relaxed or asleep.
If you have had four or more panic attacks and have spent a month or more in constant fear of another attack, you may have a condition called panic disorder, a type of chronic anxiety disorder.

The Causes
Although the exact causes of panic attacks and panic disorder are still unclear, the tendency to have panic attacks runs in families. There also appears to be a strong connection with major life transitions such as graduating from college and entering the workplace, getting married, and having a baby. Traumatic event such as  the death of a loved one, car or plane crash, divorce, or job loss can also trigger a panic attack.
Panic attacks can also be caused by medical conditions and other physical causes.

Treatment
There are 2 known method to cure panic attacks. One with medications and another with psychotheraphy such as Cognitive behavioral therapy and Psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Some other technique to calm panic attacks are deep breathing technique, positive affirmation and distraction. A guide about deep breathing technique can be found in here.

If none of this technique works, you may consider to use technique developed by Barry Joe McDonagh who was once sufferer of panic attacks.
He introduced the system known as One Move Technique which has helped many patients who suffer from panic attacks.

You can get more information about One Move Technique in here.
