Mobile phones, laptops, internet browsers: these are always compared to one another to find out what the best is and what the winning features of each product ahtre. Therefore, it is only fitting that the iPhone 4 is compared with the Galaxy S 2. It is iOs against Android, Apple against Samsung: in fact, the two phones look so eerily familiar and there was a time, not too long ago, when the internet was buzzing with news of Apple taking legal action against Samsung for ‘sluggishly copying’ their designs.
To start the comparison, we can take the design. Once again, the two phones look like twins with only minor distinguishing factors. The Galaxy S2’s wafer thin appearance has a way of being a plus and a minus at the same time. While the slim form is incredibly visually appealing, inserting a SIM card is unnecessarily complicated with the fear of snapping the device in half, roaming about. On the brighter side, both devices are lightweight and equally visually appealing to any tech enthusiast.
As for the display (since it acts as both the user interface as well as the main noticeable feature) the Galaxy S2 offers a decent one with vibrant colours and incredible clarity. The iPhone has created an all new benchmark by introducing retina display. Retina display has made the iPhone 4 display in to something of a visual marvel.
Both phones pack plenty of power and satisfactory battery life. But the real deciding factor lies in the usability. While the Galaxy S2 can be purchased and used at anytime from anywhere, the iPhone 4 creates inconvenience by being tied to a single mobile network. Thus, it is necessary to invest in an iPhone unlock service to make use of the device on a different network. Apart from this drawback, it can be safely told that the iPhone 4 has successfully lived up to the massive hype while giving some serious competition to the Galaxy S2 and other Android devices. Both phones are ideally created for the evolved demands of the mobile phone users and will continue to be loved and used until the next big seller makes its mark.
