11 Start Up Tips to Organize Your Home Based Business

For some of us, getting organized in the efforts to succeed in our online home base business is not always easy. Here are some basic start up suggestions to help you succeed and get focused.
1. Set up a time management daily routine schedule to fulfill each individual aspect of your business. It's too easy to get caught up on one portion of your home base business, meanwhile the other important aspects of your business fall to the waste side. Let's face it; there are many variables to our business that coincide with each other to make it all work.
2. Keep a daily To Do check list on your PC or notepad and check off completed items. We all get so busy that it's easy to forget what we remembered to do a minute ago.
3. Purchase a comfortable chair; you'll need it trust me; I've recently had back surgery so a back supporting chair is key to make a long day of sitting more pleasurable.
4. Make your work space Zen friendly, this can be achieved even if your available space is small. Have photos or pictures that you enjoy viewing, ALL DAY LONG. Get rid of the clutter, if you're working in a cluttered environment then you tend to not work efficiently, the clutter creates stress and you can't find your stuff.
5. Have plenty of office supplies such as folders, pens, file organizers, writing pads, etc. at your finger tips. I must sound old school but I'm a firm believer in backing up your information in hard copy files and having it readily available for the just in case stuff happens…and stuff will happen.
6. Proper lighting is very important for work production and less eye strain. You can make these purchases at your neighborhood home improvement supply store for very little money.
7. Use a phone headset as a hand's free phone headset, they're clearer and it keeps you available to take notes.
8. Having a home based business usually means you also have constant interruptions such as THE CHORES, RIGHT! Do yourself a favor and get the absolutely, got to do it, chores done first and then you can devote your precious time to your home based business.
9. Do you have pets! Well I have three dogs and it's not very professional to hear them barking while on a business phone call. I get the three boys set up in the morning with their snacks and exercise. Once completed, chances are they'll sleep through out the day.
10. Don't sleep in late. For some of us this is not easy but once you get into the habit of starting early, it's easy. Hey, at least you can work in your underwear if that's your thing.
11. Control the noise/ interruptions such as kids playing loud music or just simply bugging you. We all know how difficult this can be if their toddlers! Look into your neighborhood child care providers or a share program with other parents. If they're older, just talk to them and set the boundaries. Remember, you're the boss.
I hope this helps you in your quest to become a Home Base Business Entrepreneur. Remember focus is the key, eliminate distractions and provide yourself with the basic tools to assist in attaining your goals, dreams and aspirations.
